While best known as the movie’s “shape note” singing coach and music advisor, his talents extend much further. Tim joins us as a solo artist on vocals, guitar, fiddle, and banjo. His music pays tribute to a vanishing middle America, intimately exploring the traditional hymns, ballads and love songs that span two centuries in American history. Enthusiastic about the connections that music brings about, Tim Eriksen collaborates with a wide range of performers. He has been a member of the punk turned “folk noise” band Cordelia’s Dad, the Bosnian music band Zabe I Babe, and the Rehobot Oromo Choir. He has also teamed up with virtuoso classical and bluegrass musicians. Don’t miss the opportunity to discover for yourself why FRoots Magazine calls Tim’s music “dangerously sparing and utterly compelling.”
