Bank of America is sponsoring the Cape Cod Museum of Art’s 30th Anniversary Arts for All allowing the museum and its galleries to be open to the public free of charge between Christmas and New Year’s, December 27 – 31. Artwork on exhibition during 30th Anniversary Arts for All includes: Through Young Eyes: K-12 Cape Student Exhibition; Of Face and Body, the paintings of Nancy Ellen Craig; Photography by Bill Armstrong; Timeless: Explorations in Wax-Based Media, the works of Mary Moquin and Marc Kundmann; and 200 Years of Cape Cod Art. This will also be one of the last chances to see The Great Silence, the critically acclaimed installation created by Lorrie Fredette specifically for the Bank of America/Hunter Gallery; the exhibition closes January 8, 2012. During this week, visitors to CCMA can take a docent tour Thursday at 11 am and 2 pm and Saturday at 11 am. Also, visitors, children and adults alike, may discover unique details with ArtQuest, an art treasure hunt. Cape Cod Museum of Art, the regional art museum of Cape Cod, the Islands and Southeastern Massachusetts, is located off Route 6A, 60 Hope Lane, on the grounds of Cape Cod Center for the Arts, Dennis. Admission: $8, free for ages 18 and younger and museum members. As of January 1 (through March 31), galleries are closed Monday – Wednesday; gallery hours are Thursdays, 10 am – 8 pm; Fridays and Saturdays, 10 am – 5 pm; and Sundays, noon – 5 pm.
