MASTERSINGERS BY THE SEA PRESENTS: WINTER- A SEASON OF REMEMBERING

 The Mastersingers by the Sea Chamber chorus accompanied by musicians from the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra and under the direction of Dr. David MacKenzie will perform their Winter concert entitled “Winter – A Season of Remembering”.

The program will include:

ANTONIO VIVALDI: Violin Concerto in F Major,“Winter” from “The Four Seasons” with Jesse Holstein, violin, Concertmaster of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra

SAMUEL BARBER: Dover Beach with Robert Grady, tenor

MOZART: Missa Brevis, K. 275 (1777)

ALBERTO WILLIAMS:  Primera Suite Argentina for Strings

DOMINICK ARGENTO:  A Toccata of Galuppi’s (1990) with Paul Cienniwa, harpsichord

 

The concert will take place Saturday February 25, 8 pm and Sunday February 26, 3 pm at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 91 Main St. in Falmouth. Audience members are invited to a reception immediately following the performance. 

Advance tickets are $20.  Tickets at the door are $25 or $10 for students under age 18.  Online tickets for this concert only can be purchased through the website; a $1 processing fee is added.
