This exhibit featuring the creative artistry of Shannon Goheen of Dennis Port, opens on April 16th at the Green Briar Nature Center.  A landscape designer and gardener by trade, Ms. Goheen became hooked on weaving with plants from oak saplings to the fiery stems of red twig dogwood, wave-tossed seaweed, pond grasses, native plants and thorny vines to gossamer strands of wetland plants.  She states, “It takes a lot of pondering before I’ll actually collect the items I am going to weave together because they usually have to be woven fresh.”  Her imaginative creations result in unique works of art. The public is cordially invited to a Meet the Artist Reception on Sunday, April 29 from 1pm to 3pm. The exhibit runs through July 8th and may be viewed Monday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm and Sundays from 1pm to 4pm.
