The College Light Opera Company (or CLOC, as we affectionately abbreviate) is among the very best of American summer stock companies! CLOC is an independent nonprofit educational theatre founded in 1969. The Company provides fine Broadway stock musicals to summer audiences on Cape Cod, while giving young talent a chance to begin a career in music theatre. Living under the philosophy that “all is for the best in this best of all possible worlds,” the characters accept the fate of the miserable situations that they are put into. Follow Candide as he searches for love and happiness across Europe. . “The Student Prince” is Prince Karl Franz goes to school incognito to be educated both in liberal arts and in life. Although betrothed back in his kingdom, the prince falls in love with the beautiful Kathie while enjoying the fun life of a student. He is snapped back to reality when he has to deal with family problems back at home and learns that the royal family will do whatever they need to keep their plans on track.

The Cape Cod Baseball League celebrates its 128th season in 2012 and continues to provide fans with competitive baseball entertainment, where the country’s top college players display multi-dimensional skills in their purest form. A record total 236 former Cape Leaguers populate major league rosters. The Cape Cod League is considered one of the leading amateur leagues in the country. Games are Free but there is a suggested donation for entry.

Barnstable County Fair – July 21 – July 28

The Barnstable County Fair has been an annual summer tradition on Cape Cod for 167 years. The Fair is a place where families can spend the day together and share experiences they can only experience at the Barnstable County Fair.

There are animal shows, 4-H demonstrations, petting zoos, horticulture displays, rides, games, live music, arts & crafts, food and commercial vendors with various arts and crafts for sale.

The Fair features the best in wholesome family fun and entertainment. More than 85,000 people attend with an anticipated 90,000 this year. The Barnstable County Fair is a great place to get up close and personal with the farm animals, enjoy a world of fun foods and the thrill of Rockwell Amusements Midway rides.

Rte. 151 is about 20 minutes from our Falmouth Resorts…and a real experience for the whole family!!!
