Unique Summer Activities

June 1, 2016

Everyone loves to go to the beach. That’s why we sit in traffic to get to the Cape. But there some other, delightful, unique, activities available in and around Falmouth. Activities for all ages and all fitness levels. Here are a few of our favorites.

Coonamessett Farm  Coonamessett Farm is a twenty-acre farming and research enterprise located at 277 Hatchville Road  in  East Falmouth,  MA.  It’s the perfect spot for a leisurely family stroll, including Gamma and Grandpa and the toddler just learning to walk. You can view farm animals, and pick crops (depends whats available.)  Day passes are $8 for 2 years and older. There’s a farm cafe for breakfast or lunch and they have special events. They are famouf or their Friday,  Jamaica night too.  If collecting eggs and picking blueberries…like you dream about…is appealing…this just might be the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Cape Cod Inflatable Park –  A one of a kind attraction in Yarmouth offering a HUGE selection of both wet and dry inflatable rides for kids and adults alike. It is packed with large themed inflatable slides, bounce houses, games, a gift shop, Shark Bites cafe, an arcade and more. Kids adore this…(we get this)…but parents love it too. It is certainly worth a try.

  • $31 – per person
  • $15 –  Toddlers (under 38 inches)
  • $25 for the challenge park only
  • $45 for a combo pass including the dry rides and wet rides in the inflatable park, plus the challenge park.

Spohr Gardens – Take a leisurely walk in this beautiful six acre Cape cod woodland garden located on Oyster pond in Falmouth, MA. This magnificent site is open to visitors year around. Spring brings thousands of daffodils, followed by azaleas, rhododendrons and then daylilies.
