Fall on Cape Cod – Perfect for Golf

capecodcountry club

Those of us, who live on the Cape, cherish the Fall. First of all, there is much less traffic; and when you have to go to work, shop at grocery stores, go to the dump, replace your screens, dealing with loads of traffic makes “tasks” that much harder. So when school starts and the bulk of vacationers head back over the bridge, we can stretch our legs and enjoy our home (and get our chores done with a little less aggravation!).

Secondly, and the reason we still encourage visitors is that the Cape is truly beautiful in the Fall. The grass is lushly green. The trees turn slowly. Golf Courses are in top form.

There are over 15,000 public and private golf courses in the United States, and over 35 beautiful courses are located on the Cape. Some incredible private courses…that most of us just hear about…but some award-winning public courses as well.  Here are a couple, but for more information click here.

A challenging 27-hole year-round public course not far from beaches, cranberries and all that is Cape Cod. Walk or ride the championship 18 hole, par 72 course, or enjoy the 9 hole, par 37 “Talon” course. Flat terrain, lush fairways and our immaculate greens will bring out the best in your game. Sprays of beach grass garnish the bunkers at the 12th hole while a majestic pair of ospreys patrol the water from their nest on the 10th hole. Falmouth Country Club is open year round.
