The College Light Opera Company (or CLOC, as we affectionately abbreviate) is among the very best of American summer stock companies! CLOC is an independent nonprofit educational theatre founded in 1969. The Company provides fine Broadway stock musicals to summer audiences on Cape Cod, while giving young talent a chance to begin a career in music theatre. Check for dates.  “Candide” is narrated by Voltaire, who turns into Dr. Pangloss, the audience is promptly introduced to the convoluted lives of Pacquette, Maximillian, Cunegonde,and Candide. Living under the philosophy that “all is for the best in this best of all possible worlds,” the characters accept the fate of the miserable situations that they are put into. Follow Candide as he searches for love and happiness across Europe. . “The Student Prince” is Prince Karl Franz goes to school incognito to be educated both in liberal arts and in life. Although betrothed back in his kingdom, the prince falls in love with the beautiful Kathie while enjoying the fun life of a student. He is snapped back to reality when he has to deal with family problems back at home and learns that the royal family will do whatever they need to keep their plans on track.
