As Plimoth Plantation opens for another season of fun, ewe and the kids are invited to join Museum staff for our annual salute to spring with a celebratory walk and “Rare Breeds Animal Parade” from the Henry Hornblower II Visitor Center to the 17th Century English Village. Join us as we escort our four-legged and feathered friends to their “home away from home” for the 2013 season. Families are encouraged to create and bring signs to carry in the parade, welcoming our animals home. This event is FREE to Museum members and is included with Museum admission. Get up close with rare breeds including goats, sheep, chickens and cows and meet our newest pack of baby animals! Admission: Adults:  $25.50, Children (6-12): $15, Seniors: $23

Take a savory journey into the past. An evening of entertainment and hospitality awaits you as you sit down to a “groaning board” filled with the finest food that this season of plenty has to offer. Your Pilgrim hosts – residents of 1627 Plimoth – will spice up your dinner conversation with tales of England – old and new. Discover the table manners and recipes that traveled across the Atlantic with the Pilgrims, and find out about what happened at the famous harvest celebration of 1621. During dinner, you will be entertained with centuries-old psalms and songs and perhaps you will be convinced to join in singing a round or two. Adult: $62.95 Child (under 12) $45.95, Adult Member: $43.95, Child Member: $33.95. Prices include Museum admission and tax.

The past comes alive when you travel down some of Falmouth’s oldest thoroughfares, listening to stories of the town’s seafaring heritage. That is what you will get when you take a trolley tour of Falmouth. These tours leave the driveway of Falmouth Museums on the Green, 55 Palmer Avenue, at 10 AM on Wednesdays September 12, 19 and 26, as well as October 3. Trolleys are enclosed and climate-controlled, allowing tours to take place rain or shine. Tickets for the two-hour tour are $20 and may be reserved by calling 508-548-4857 or emailing fhs@cape.com. The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History will present the Wing Island Archaeology Project from June-September. Come dig and explore the past with Dr. Fred Dunford. Wing Island was an important part of Cape Cod’s historic and prehistoric past. The Island was used by Native Americans, the first settlers of Brewster, and during Brewster’s industrial period. Here is a rare opportunity to participate over the summer in hands-on exploration and discovery of unique Cape Cod artifacts and settlements on Wing Island. 16+ $25/session and Non-Members 16+ $35/session.
