Martha’s Vineyard Trip a Success!

October 17, 2008

The first guided tour of Martha’s Vineyard was an overwhelming success! 5 brave couples signed up for the inaugural trip and none were sorry that they did.

The trip leaves the InnSeason Resorts in Falmouth MA on Wednesdays at 9:30 in the morning and returns at 4:30 that afternoon. Guided by Frank Wangler a longtime Vineyard historian and escorted by InnSeason’s Concierge Jessica the group takes the Steamship Authority ferry from Woods Hole to the island for the day.

After a short tour of the area imediately around the ferry dock the group lunches as the Black Dog Tavern, a long time island favorite. The tour includes Gay Head, Menemsha, West Tisbury, Chilmark, Edgartown and Oak Bluffs.

The trip is scheduled to run until early December and is very weather dependent. If you are interested in the tour please contact Jessica at InnSeason Captains Quarters Resort.

Di Parma – Can’t Miss Mid-Cape Dining

October 16, 2008

Saturday evening we were trying to decide where to go for dinner. Now that we’ve moved to South Yarmouth from the Upper Cape, the possibilities are seemingly endless. We decided to try Di Parma, on Route 28 in Yarmouth.

Di Parma is a casual Italian restaurant with a large, varied menu and good prices. The atmoshphere and service says “fine dining”, but you will feel at home instantly. The wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable, and the food is fantastic. I really can’t suggest just one menu item, as I wanted to order one of everything!
