March can be a rough month. It brings the spring feeling in a little early one day, and the next has us lugging out the shovels one last time. But it is famous for that one day where we all wear green. We all love that one day where, no matter what our heritage, we get to be Irish for a day.
On Cape Cod, where many of us can trace our roots back to Ireland, we are no different when it comes to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. The Cape Cod St. Patrick’s Day Parade is next Saturday, March 10, 2018. This parade weaves down Route 28 in Yarmouth (see web site for exact route). While it may not be as legendary as the parade in South Boston or in Chicago, it does draw its own level of celebrity with this year’s Grand Marshal, Tim Kelley, Cape Cod native and NECN meteorologist!

With floats, bands, and all things Irish, this is a great way to come out and see what people consider to be the best things about being Irish! Hints: Kids adore it because everyone seems to throw candy! And, most importantly….dress warmly!
